Meet me Behind the Lens
Hey it’s me,
Cherie Pearson
Just Me
Hey, from behind the lens! As you can guess from my creative business name, I'm Cherie Pearson (pronounced Sha-ree), but I answer to any version you call me. I'm a lover of all things sweet and carb-filled, candy, and cookies are my go-to treats.
I tied the knot with my hubby back in 2006, and we call Enoch, Utah our home (it's in Southern Utah near Cedar City, for those who haven’t heard of it).
My Family Life
After a rollercoaster ride with infertility and pregnancy losses, we were blessed with three amazing kiddos who keep us on our toes. I love watching each of them learn and grow into awesome little people. Let me be real though, Balancing family, a day job at a local bank, and this photography business has been no small feat. There have been hurdles and personal trials that made it tough to keep up with my photography goals over that past few years. But ultimately, what keeps me snapping pics is that it’s my happy place, something that brings me joy and fulfillment—it's the thing I do just for me.
In a Nutshell
So, that’s me in a nutshell. I'm blessed with an amazing family and a journey full of twists and turns. I began my career as a draftsman, designing and drawing houses while studying engineering. Eventually, I found myself working at a local bank, where I’ve been for the past 12 years. Along the way, my passion for photography blossomed into a business that I truly love.
What are Clients saying
"From the first moment Cherie was so easy to work with as my daughters wedding photographer. From scheduling bridals all the way through the wedding day, she captured everything perfectly.
My daughter had limited time as she is a full time student and works two jobs. The two days scheduled for bridals ended up being not so great weather, she offered to do them later when the weather would work out better, but not certain when my daughter could fit it into her schedule again we just went with it. THEY. TURNED. OUT. BEAUTIFUL! It was freezing and windy and even rained on us.
Cherie was nothing but patient, hilarious, and soooo creative! I would definitely recommend her photography services. She is wonderful, so kind and I honestly felt like she was just one of my best friends through the entire process."

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When is the best time to get photos done?
A: The best time for outdoor portraits is during the 'golden hour,' which is just before sunset or right after sunrise. The light is so beautiful then and makes for some great photo opportunities. I typically prefer to shoot in full shade.
Q: Can you request specific shots?
A: I’m always open to any suggestions or specific images you’d like to create—after all, these are your memories and your peeps. Let’s get the “mom” shots done and then I would love to just play and have you interact with your family.
Q: What is the turn around time on my images?
A: I try to get your images back to you as quickly as possible, but editing does take some time. For engagement and bridal sessions, you can expect your photos within 1-2 weeks. Wedding day photos typically take around 2-3 weeks. This timeline can vary depending on the season and how many sessions I have booked. During the holidays, please allow a little extra time, as I try to balance my work with spending time with my family. Thanks for understanding!
Q: Do I retouch my images?
A: Yes, I do a bit of retouching to my images, but I always make sure you still look like you. I don’t believe in going overboard with retouching. If there's something specific you'd like adjusted, just let me know and I'll be happy to take care of it. Professional hair and makeup can also help you look flawless while still being your real self.
Q: What is the booking process?
A: If you're ready to book, you can choose the all inclusive or the al a carte options and complete your booking directly on my website.
Once you’re booked, I’ll stay in touch and plan a location spot with you and send a reminder text/email before your session.
Q: Where should we take our pictures?
A: Southern Utah is packed with stunning spots that'll make your jaw drop. Whether you're into the rugged charm of mountains, the fiery colors of red rocks, the modern building vibe, or the classic studio look. I'll steer you in the right direction or if you have a location in mind already I always love checking out new spots!
